Introducing Orianna New Member of Staff

Orianna

Hello, my name is Orianna Evans. I am 21 years old and I am very excited to be a part of the CETMA team and to join the JumpStart project. Jump Start will be a simple and easy process in which we can evaluate where a client needs support, and then tailor that support to their individual needs. If they have other needs, then we will refer to a partner within one of the networks that we are in. The client will receive ongoing support to help them improve their finances, tackle isolation, and help them engage more effectively with their community.

I am joining the project under a scheme called Kickstart. Kickstart is a government scheme. The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new 6-month jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.

I grew up in a tiny village called Llansaint, it’s the kind of village where everyone knows everyone and everything. I previously worked in a school for students who struggled with standard schools.

I am very excited to join this project and not only help all kinds of different people but also to develop my skills further and gain amazing experience. I love helping all kinds of people. I regularly volunteer in helping my local village hall when they have events on, obviously over the past year and a half there have been no events happening but I have been trying to still give my help where possible. I love to meet new people although I can be a nervous person at first, I settle down quite quickly and am very keen to help however and wherever I can.

In my spare time I love to listen to all genres and languages of music, music is my favourite way of calming down after a hard or stressful day. I also love reading a good book. My friends and family are the most important people to me as I know that without them I would not be the person I am today.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with you all.
