This October we are excited to take part in Get Online Week Swansea and Llanelli!

You may wonder what is Get Online Week?

Get Online Week Swansea and Llanelli is a digital inclusion campaign designed by the Good Things Foundation.

What does it do? It is to help people come to understanding of how to learn new digital skills and confidently get online.

Why are we taking part in this event?

For millions of people, online tasks are an impossible barrier.
In fact, only 1 in 3 adults are comfortably online. And with everything moving to a digital platform, Get Online Week is perfect to get an understanding.

From the 19th to 23rd October, Get Online Week Swansea and Llanelli, we will be hosting multiple learning sessions from 1PM to 3PM. Each day having their own topic, so everyone can get involved of all ages.

What are the different topics that will be discussed?

Appsolutley Fabulous
Where we will discuss what APPs are, how to access different APPs along with the dangers of these APPs.

Scams
Where we will discuss what scams are, how to spot different scams, what to do if you got scammed and how to avoid scams.

Social Media
Where we will discuss what is social media, what are the different platforms, how to access social media and what to look out while using their platforms.

Getting To Grips With AI
Where we will talk about what is AI, how do you use AI and the different forms of it, why AI usage is controversial and the effects it has on us from a day to day life.

Learn My Way (Llanelli Only)
Where you will be interacting with a phone or laptop, learning how to navigate the different devices and how to stay safe on the internet and use it.
