FURTHER INFORMATION
The ultimate aim of the project is to have sustainable groups set up by the LGBTQ+ community, for
the LGBTQ+ community to benefit everyone

How will we do this?
• Hold LGBTQ+ awareness days in towns in Carmarthenshire to promote equality and
understanding in the local community.
• To set up and maintain LGBTQ+ Hubs in Carmarthenshire. The purpose is to provide a safe
place where the LGBTQ+ community can attend a couple of times a month for support, advice
and guidance and to report hate crime.
• The long term aim for these hubs is that they will become sustainable: this might mean
becoming Constituted and raising their own funds. The project will provide training for people
who need it to help this happen.
• In each area, there will be a LGBTQ+ support day where local organisations can come together
to show their support for this community.
