On Monday 27th January (2025), CETMA Llanelli will opening the first of its Community Warm Hub sessions. Every Monday and Thursday till the 31st of March, members of the community can access a warm space, refreshments, soup and activities for free.
This has been made possible by Carmarthenshire County Council and their Safe, Secure and Warm Spaces Fund. CETMA Llanelli director Keith Evans said:
“The warm hub will be open from 10 till 4pm and people will be able to access the internet, free online IT Training, Job Searching and CV support (if required) and activities such as arts and crafts.
“We will provide tea/coffee, soup, to whoever attends, and the Community Fridge will be open.”
CETMA Llanelli are also working with Coleg Sir Gar and Carmarthenshire County Council’s Transforming Tyisha team on a project to enhance the Tyisha area with murals that will promote the heritage of the area.
“The mural project is running from January to the end of March 25 and it will see us engaging with the community and also encouraging them to get involved in the project.” Added Keith.
