CETMA have officially launched their new National Lottery Community Funded Project, the Kitchen
Equipment Library.
The project will see families being able to loan out items such as air fryers, microwaves and steamers to either help them if theirs breaks, they’d like to try out or if they need something temporary.
Items are able to be loaned out for 12 weeks at a time and Project officer Orianna Evans said:
“We know how expensive kitchen equipment is to buy when it breaks or if you’re moving home for the
first time.”
“This project will reduce initial costs of buying new and relieve families of the worries of having to spend money they don’t have. Especially during this cost of living crisis.”
Items available are:
● Microwaves
● Slow Cookers
● Air fryers
● Steamer
● Halogen Oven
“We also have Fridges, freezers, cookers and washing machines donated to us by the public. These items are free to keep if you need them.” Added Orianna
The loan out process is simple, two pieces of ID will have to be provided to prove identity and home
address. Then, it’s a very simple form that needs to be filled out.
